Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes! Birth classes help you and your partner know what to expect during labor, birth, and postpartum. The information you learn in classes will be beneficial to you for years to come! Taking a birth class can help you be more confident in your choices, teach you that you have a voice in your birth, and will help you and your partner work together as a team to bring your child into the world.
-
Ideally, you would register for a birth class around 23-28 weeks. That way you have plenty of time to finish the class and begin building your birth preferences. Classes are planned months in advanced and are offered quite frequently. I can help you find a class that is right for you.
-
The hybrid class structure is the same content as in-person classes, filmed professionally including birth videos, fun & engaging teaching tools, and more. You’ll watch the weekly video then meet weekly with me via Google Meets to dive deeper into the content, ask questions, and relate your learning back to your own birth plan. You will still receive a student workbook that will be mailed to you.
-
Please find alternate childcare for your other children so that you can focus on learning as much as possible in our class.
If you are interested in taking a class to prepare siblings for birth, I do offer private Sibling Classes. Please contact me if interested. -
Go to the Register for a Birth Class page. Fill out the form and within 24 hours, you will receive an email confirmation. It contains information regarding your $50 deposit for class materials, paying the balance, and how to prepare for the first day of class.
-
I require a $50 deposit to hold your spot in the class and to pre-order your student workbook. This deposit is applied to the total cost of the class. The remainder is due before the start of the first class. Upon registration, you will receive an invoice showing the payment due dates.

It depends on the class! My capacity is 5 couples, or 10 people, per class. The best part of doing a group class is the community and support you’ll receive. You’ll gain new perspectives, ask hard questions, and maybe even make friends with others who are going through the same stage of life as you. Every couple’s birth plan and story will be different, which is so rewarding for me to see as an educator!
Birth Doula Services
Consider hiring a doula to pair with the investment you’ve made in your education! A doula is a trained non-medical professional who provides continuous physical and emotional support to a birthing person and their partner before, during, and shortly after childbirth.
Benefits of hiring a doula include shorter labors, lower rates of cesareans, reduced need for pain medication, amongst a host of other positives.
